Delete your account
- Open Vireta and go to Profile.
- Open Account and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE and confirm.
This deletes your account and the data stored with it, and clears what is only on your phone, such as photos. It does not cancel a subscription. Cancel that in the store, as below.
Cancel your subscription
Subscriptions are bought through the App Store or Google Play, so you cancel there. Vireta cannot cancel it for you.
- iPhone: Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Vireta, then Cancel Subscription. You can also open Profile › Account › Manage subscription in the app.
- Android: open Google Play, tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Vireta, then Cancel subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Questions
What happens when the 14-day trial ends?
The app locks until you subscribe. Your data stays in your account. From the lock screen you can still restore a purchase, export your data, sign out or delete your account.
I already subscribed but the app is locked.
On the lock screen tap Restore. Use the same store account you paid with. If that does not help, write to hello@vireta.is.
Are my progress photos uploaded?
No. Photos stay on your phone only. They are not sent to any server, so they do not move to a new phone with your account.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Open Profile › Your data and privacy. You can export workouts and weigh-ins as files, or everything.
How do I turn off usage counts?
Profile › Your data and privacy. The counts are anonymous. See the privacy policy.
How do I change reminders?
Profile › Workouts and reminders. Reminders are set on your phone. Allow notifications for Vireta in your phone settings.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen use the forgot password option and follow the email.
Does Vireta use Apple Health or Health Connect?
Only if you connect it, in Profile. Vireta reads your weight and saves finished workouts. Height is read only when you ask. It never uses this data for analytics or ads.
What if I have an injury or am pregnant?
Vireta gives general fitness guidance, not medical advice. Check with a doctor, midwife or physio first, answer the safety questions in the plan builder, and stop if something feels wrong.
Does it work without internet?
Your workout is saved on your phone first. If it cannot be sent to your account, the app says it is saving on this phone and sends it later.
