Who we are

Vireta is provided by Óli Birgir Birgisson, Akureyri, Iceland (hello@vireta.is). By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Who can use Vireta

You must be 18 or older. You confirm this when you sign up.

Your account

Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete it at any time in the app.

Trial and subscription

  • The whole app starts with a 14-day free trial.
  • When the trial ends, the app locks until you subscribe. Your data stays in your account. You can still export it or delete your account.
  • The subscription is monthly. The price is shown in the app before you buy.
  • You pay through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm.
  • The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the period you paid for ends.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules.
  • Deleting your Vireta account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it in the store.
  • On iPhone, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Health disclaimer

Vireta gives general fitness guidance, not medical advice. It can't assess your health. If you have a health condition, an injury or are pregnant, check with a doctor, midwife or physio. Stop if something feels wrong. You train at your own risk. Calorie figures are estimates.

Using the app

Use Vireta for your own training. Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app or its content, do not try to break into it or other people's accounts, and do not overload it.

Your data

Your data stays yours. We use it to run the app as described in the privacy policy. Feedback you send may be used to improve Vireta.

Our content

The app, its exercise text, demonstrations and design belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use them in the app while these terms apply.

Changes and availability

We may change or stop features and we may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes in the app or by email before they apply. If you do not agree, you can stop using the app and cancel your subscription. We aim to keep the app running but cannot promise it will always work without interruption.

Ending

You can stop at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for injury or loss that comes from how you use the workouts, or for indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing limits your rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Disputes go to the Icelandic courts. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.
